Join the Alberta Geomatics Group for our first Speaker Series of 2019 with Kevin Miller, CTO of Solv3D, presenting on:
"The Love-Hate Relationship in Working with Geospatial Data"
In the emerging market of geospatial data collection, even when compared to just 2-3 years ago, the expectations and requirements with regard to size, modalities, interoperability, accessibility and uses has grown exponentially. Consumers of this data sometimes do not recognize the challenges in ensuring it is in the optimal format, which will allow users to garner the best experience and most value from the data. Some of the areas we will touch upon include; georeferencing, working with different hardware and software providers, determining if the data is actually accurate, storage & accessibility, interacting with and using the data for multiple purposes and perhaps most importantly, how to share and collaborate with the data across the broader organization.
